Although Grayling are not indigenous to the Eden system they have been in the river for over 120 years after being introduced as "fry" at Musgrave some time around 1880 and though their numbers do vary from year to year they now seem well established throughout the river.
Grayling can be caught through the summer months but it is during the winter when they become our main quarry and many more beats on the Eden become accessible after the Salmon season has ended. To catch Grayling consistently throughout the year you will need the full range of techniques - I can help you with these techniques or for the more experienced can guide you on some excellent beats on the River Eden.
Tackle can be provided at no extra charge but you will need an Environment Agency rod licence (see below)
